The award for the discovery of the 3-dimensional mechanical puzzle toy given to a sculptor and Professor of architecture, Erno Rubik. Originally referred to as the Magic Cube puzzle toy, this give license by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toys in 1980 and won the special prize of the German Game of the Year as the best puzzle toys.

In January 2009, 350 million Rubik’s cube has been sold worldwide, making it the best-selling toy Puzzle in the world. What it’s Rubik’s Cube? A Rubik’s cube has six surfaces, and each of the six surfaces coated by 9 stickers, comprising six groups of colors which is usually white, red, blue, Orange, green, and yellow.

A mechanism of the shaft allows any surface to play freely, and thus mixing color stickers from any surface. To solve the puzzle, every surface of the stickers should be made uniform color. Play Rubik’s Cube is one of the effective ways to improve the spatial intelligence and is considered the best way of brain train.

Well, now we will give you some practical tips how to solve Rubik’s cube. There are a variety of strategies and techniques to solve the puzzle of a Rubik’s cube. One of the popular methods that were developed by David Singmaster published in the book Notes on Rubik’s Magic Cube in 1980.

This technique can solve the Rubik’s cube puzzle in favor to finish, where one of the top layer is completed first, followed by the middle layer, and the layer below. There are countless techniques to play Rubik’s Cube, and this is one of the basic techniques. But before you get started, it’s good you know the terms that will be used in the cubic formula.

- Up (U): the top Rubik’s
- Down (D): the bottom of Rubik’s
- Right (R): the right of Rubik’s
- Left (L): the left side of the Rubik’s
- Front (F): the front of Rubik’s
- Pack (B): the back of Rubik’s

The entire movement of the above driven clockwise. Whereas if those letters are given strokes such as R or L, it means the part actuated counter-clockwise.

### The steps how to solve the Rubik’s Cube

**Step 1**

Make a cross (+) white with yellow center.

Match the right color under the sign of the cross and then rotate it (F2) so that the white cross now center white.

**Step 2**

Make the bottom white all at once “T”

Formula: R U R ‘

Match the 2 lines of color at the bottom.

The Formula: U R U ‘ R ‘ U ‘ F ‘ U F

**Step 3**

Make cross yellow center yellow.

If there is a yellow section that forms the letter L, then put the L in the lower right corner (upside down of course)

Formula: f R U R ‘ U ‘ f ‘

If the yellow form a line (in the same row of 3 colors) and passes through the center, then place the line in a horizontal position.

Formula: F R U R ‘ U ‘ F ‘

If it does not form anything (there is only 1 yellow dot in the center).

Formula: F R U R ‘ U ‘ F ‘ f R U R ‘ U ‘ f ‘

**Step 4**

Make the shape of the fish first. Search yellow color in part F the top right corner.

Formula: R U R U R R ‘ U2 ‘

Make the top of being wholly yellow.

Formula: R U R U R R ‘ U2 ‘

**Step 5**

Make both ends of top F be the same color.

If you already have the same side, place it on the left.

If it does not continue.

Formula: R U2 R ‘ U ‘ R U2 L ‘ U R ‘ U ‘ L

Move the middle section top F so that all sides are the same color.

If a piece is moved in the opposite direction with a needle, then use U ‘ in the following formula.

If a piece is moved with the needle, then use the following formula in the U.

Formula: F2 (U/U ‘) L R F2 R ‘ L ‘ (U/U ‘) F2.
